Fr. Vincent Arisukwu - Founder/President

Fr. Vincent is a priest from Nigeria, currently serving as associate pastor at Christ the King Church in Maryland. Founder of the Family Apostolate Inc and Magazine, he holds a master’s degree in Theology and in Communication. Fr. Vin is presently a doctoral student of Marriage and Family Therapy at Eastern University in Pennsylvania.

Patti Rubin - Board Secretary/Administrator

Patti resides in Maryland with her husband, several adult kids and even more adorable, cupcake eating grandkids. Nicknamed the “mamarazzi,” she’s an amateur photographer capturing the Family Apostolate’s best moments. Passionate about faith and family, she also loves to write, teach and evangelize. Patti is the administrator of the Family Apostolate Inc and secretary to the board.

Ayodeji George Adeponle - Magazine Design Director

George is a graphic artist who developed interest in graphic design after earning his degree in Computer Science with Mathematics. He started his own creative company "Degeo Concept" in 2008, a company specializing in graphic design, branding, and printing. He lives in Glen Burnie, Maryland with his lovely wife and daughter. George is the graphics director for the Family Apostolate magazine.

Steve Carr - IT and Web Design

Steve is a parishioner at Christ the King Catholic Church. His professional experience is as an innovative product developer and digital technology leader. He leverages entrepreneurial vision using digital content to identify and capitalize on new market opportunities - improving user experiences while driving revenue, profit, and market share growth. Steve is designing the new website for the Family Apostolate Inc and serves as a board consultant.

Marlene Lauer - First Saturday Coordinator/Pastoral Team

Retired after 31 years of working for the U.S. Department of Defense, Marlene was never able to discuss her work with anyone. Now that she is a "full-time" Nonna, she shares everything about her lovely four grandbabies; praising Jesus for church and life. Marlene belongs to the pastoral team of the Family Apostolate and coordinates FA's First Saturday Mass and breakfast.

Mitch Rubin - Board Treasurer

Mitch is a civil engineer with over 35 years in the heavy construction industry. As a senior project manager, he has managed numerous multi-million dollar projects and enjoyed the challenge of working on the Maryland Bay Bridge, development at National Harbor, and Loch Raven Dam. He is glad to share his extensive project management experience with the Family Apostolate as the Board Treasurer. Mitch also loves spending time at his beach house on the Delaware coast with his family.

John S. Smith, Esquire - Board Legal Counsel

LTC John S. Smith is a highly decorated soldier, lawyer, commercial pilot, and community leader. He is currently Chairman of the Filipino Council of the Archdiocese of Baltimore; President of the Bayanihan Cultural Dance Group; former President of the Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce, and former Executive Officer, War Plans, United States Army. John is the Family Apostolate legal adviser and serves as a board member.

Christine Sybert - Magazine Editing Team

Chris is a cradle Catholic who tries to glorify God in all that she does. Her passions include spending time in Eucharistic Adoration, homeschooling, visiting pilgrimage sites and national parks, as well as mentoring others to achieve their dreams. She lives in the Baltimore suburbs with her husband and four children. Chris is a member of the Family Magazine Team.

Henry Townsend - Magazine Design Team

Henry is a graphic designer who resides in Baltimore Maryland. He is always seeking to make visual ideas come to life through creative and intellectual reasoning. Henry has a unique balance of creativity, reliability, problem-solving and technical skills. He is passionate about running in competitive events and spending time with family and friends. Henry brings his creative skills to the Design team of the Family Apostolate magazine.

Cricket Traverson - Magazine Editing Team

Originally from Allentown, Pennsylvania, Cricket completed her undergraduate degree from DeSales University and her law degree at Marquette University. She has spent the last fifteen years homeschooling her three daughters and caring for her special needs son. She strongly believes that families are the foundation of the Church. She is honored to be able to provide support and encouragement to the Family Apostolate through her involvement in the magazine.
